Following the recent sad death of local man John Brown who brought the Bike Aid event to the area in the 1990's the hard working charity fundraising team that organise Burbage Carnival and fireworks night, were inundated with requests from members of the public to see the event return in the hope that many thousands of pounds can be raised for charity plus provide a really fun family day.
At a recent meeting chairman Mr Harvey Brown spoke about the large number of requests that had been made to the group, and discussed a possible re-instatement of the much loved event. There were concerns about overstretching the already busy committee, by adding a further event to the calendar.
