Two new neighbourhood beat officers and a police community support officer (PCSO) have arrived at Blaby local policing unit.
PC Barbara Morris has recently taken on the role of beat officer for Countethorpe, Cosby, Foston and Kilby. She has been with Leicestershire Constabulary since 2005 and has worked from Blaby local policing unit in a variety of roles.
PC Morris said: "I am keen to listen to the concerns of local residents and together with PCSO Adam Hicks, I am happy to help with any problems that arise in the.
PC Simon Woods has been with the Force since 2001 and has now taken on the role of Principal Beat Officer for the Narborough and Littlethorpe area. PC Woods is currently organising a number of beat surgeries which will be held over the coming weeks so members of the public can speak with him about police related issues. Details of the surgeries will be advertised shortly on Leicestershire Constabulary's website.
PC Woods said: "As well as ensuring that I am as accessible as possible to residents, I am also keen to target anti-social behaviour and provide high visibility, reassurance policing where ever possible."
PCSO Simon Stevenson is new to the Force and he is keen to show a positive high visibility presence in the Narborough and Littlethorpe area.
He said: "I am looking forward to meeting with all members of the community and helping to resolve any issues they may have. My aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area and offer support to those residents who are affected by it."
Inspector Jim Holyoak, Commander of Blaby local policing unit, said: "I am pleased to welcome all three officers to their new post and I am sure they all prove to be valuable assets to the neighbourhood teams they will be working on."
