|
Hinckley & Nuneaton Cat Action Trust (1977) (Reg Charity 801245) and Cats In Need Reg Charity (1042283) are charities that try to control the cat population by encouraging owners to have their pet neutered.
We help both Feral and Domestic cats in this area and their owners, we receive no funding and we run on the generosity of our volunteers.
Funds are raised through stalls at carnivals fetes and donations.
We also usually have cats available of all ages that desperately need new owners, we care for unwanted cats in our own homes until a new one can be found.
At times we can have some 80 cats we are caring for from kittens to pensioners, so we should have something to suit any situation.
The main aspects of our organisations are:-
-
Rescue, Neuter and re-home strays
-
Capture, Neuter and return feral colonies to the wild continuing to feed and maintain where necessary
-
Re-home feral kittens when it is possible to take them
-
No cat is put to sleep unless on vetinary advice
-
Please have your cat neutered! - Remember it will be healthier, will not produce unwanted kittens and will live longer
-
The average lifespan of an Un-neutered tomcat is 5 years. A neutered tom averages 12 years.
